about CMC29
The CARPATI 29 Mountain Club, based in the city of Cluj-Napoca, is a Romanian club with a non-profit, non-working and non-governmental status. It was founded in February, 2006, by five young students. The history of this club began six years ago, when the current club leader started organizing mountain expeditions, as a way for him and his friends to enjoy their spare time. The new members, that have recently joined the club, are also students in different fields of study and they share the same passion for mountain trips and any related extreme sports .
Our goal is to inspire the new generation with the wish to escape from the daily routine and value the great potential offered by the mountain sites, both Romanian and foreign. In order to accomplish that we organize activities, trips and expeditions to allow young people to enlarge their experience by discovering the beauty of nature at its best.
For the future, we hope to recruit as many teenagers and students as possible, so that together we can discover nature, especially the mountains. Being recently founded, the club is still at the beginning and therefore needs all the support that any new member could offer.
